Private instruction is valuable whether you are beginning a new instrument, picking an instrument back up, looking to supplement your current music education, or trying to develop your skills at a faster rate. Private lessons provide individual attention and allow you to learn what you want at a pace you are comfortable with.
Thad’s private lessons are customized to focus on your specific learning needs and are available in ½ hour or 1 hour sessions, for beginning through advanced students in the Chicagoland area.
Trumpet Lessons are focused on:
- Fundamentals
- Air support
- Embouchure
- Focused warm-up
- Reading skills
Jazz Improvisation Lessons are focused on:
- Theory and analysis – recognition of typical musical forms and progressions
- Reading skills – instant identification of note and rhythmic phrases to help lead to musical mastery
- Development of solos – using patience, space, dynamics and other concepts to help build solos to their ultimate potential
- Development of an individual sound – encouraged through positive reinforcement and experimentation
